The Book Fair is returning to Phillips Elementary School the week of November 2-5, 2026! Please consider coming to the book fair during Parent-Teacher conferences. The Book Fair will be held in the PES library from 3:00PM-6:00PM Monday through Thursday, 11/2-11/5.
All proceeds from the book fair add up to Scholastic Dollars, which means more books for our school library and our students!
We will be doing a drawing again this year-- all children in the school will be entered to get their name drawn to choose a book ($10 or less) from the book fair! All students who visit the fair will get an extra entry! We will choose 10 students to choose a book.

It has been a busy harvest time in the school gardens at the Phillips Elementary School! We harvested our gardens and got to sample potato leek soup made for us by the students at the Cascade Brook School in Farmington, ME! Vegetables from our gardens were used to make soup for students at another school in the School Garden Network. Thank you to everyone who has helped us relocate our garden beds to the hill by the driveway. It was a successful growing season in our new garden space! We have put the garden beds to rest for the winter, but not before we planted daffodil bulbs from School Board member Joe Ford and garlic bulbs that will grow into garlic for next summer! Thank you, Mr. Ford-- we'll be looking for those signs of spring next April!

Thank you to everyone who took the time to vote in today's school budget referendum. We appreciate the community's participation and support throughout this process.
The proposed 2026-2027 school budget was approved by voters.

With voter approval, the budget is now officially adopted for the 2026-2027 school year. This allows us to move forward with planning and preparations for the upcoming school year while continuing to focus on providing high-quality educational opportunities for every student.
On behalf of the MSAD 58 School Board and staff, thank you to everyone who participated in the process. We appreciate the thoughtful conversations, questions, and feedback we received throughout this year's budget development. Community engagement is an important part of ensuring we continue to meet the needs of our students while being responsible stewards of taxpayer dollars.
We look forward to another successful school year and thank our communities for their continued support of MSAD 58.
