The Farmington Rotary Recently donated a mini-library to the Phillips School.
A student may borrow a book to read and then they can either return the book or they can donate a gently used book of their own to the library.

Staff at Phillips Elementary School wear special T-shirts for Autism Awareness month in support of students in their building and community.

Last week, our students learned about the importance of Veterans Day and helped decorate our school by hanging stars and bringing in banners to recognize Veterans in their own families. Students in both 3rd and 4th grade prepared and shared the meaning of The Table Set for One.
This morning students, staff and community members at Phillips Elementary School were excited to welcome members of American Legion Post #61 to our school. We started the day with breakfast with our guests and then everyone gathered at the flagpole to say the Pledge of Allegiance. Next, we learned about the symbolism of flag folding and participated in a Flag Retirement Ceremony. Students were very engaged and eager to show their appreciation.
